Local History Day in Mercer County, PA

Featuring:

• Learn about local Pennsylvania history at three Mercer County historic mansions and more.

• Gibson Manor, Jamestown - With notable guests like Mark Twain and more than 150 years of stories, including as a stop on the Underground Railroad, Gibson House Manor is a true gem.

• Buhl Mansion, Sharon - Walk the restored "castle" steel magnate Frank Buhl built for his beloved wife Julia. History on display here includes Julia’s rare grand player piano. The mansion is a busy guesthouse and spa today.

• Tara — A Country Inn, Clark - Tour the Greek Revival style mansion now home to a hotel and top-notch restaurants. It is also home to a collection of Civil War artifacts and historical design.

• Avenue of 444 Flags and the War on Terror Memorial, Hermitage, PA
