Day 1  Sturbridge, MA: Today we will start our journey through New England to Maine. We will overnight in Sturbridge, MA.

 

Day 2 Newy, ME: Today we travel to the southernmost lighthouse in Maine, the Nubble Light in Cape Neddick. As we travel through the western mountains we will check into your resort. After dinner included, we will board our coach for a two-hour guided Moosing Tour. Dusk is the best time to spot one of Maine's gentle giants. (B,L,D)

 

Day 3 Belfast, ME: After breakfast we will travel to Bethel, stopping for a great picture stop of the Artist's Covered Bridge. It is built in 1872 and is names this because of its reputation as being the most photograped and painted of the venerable covered bridges in Maine. Next, get ready to roll up your sleeves for a hands-on sluicing experience. Next stop is Augusta and the state Capitol building. Then, visit Old Fort Western, a former British colonial outpost built in 1754 during the French and Indian War. Overnight in Belfast, ME, the next two nights. (B)

 

Day 4 Bar Harbor, ME: Breakfast is included this morning before we travel to Bar Harbor, ME. Embark on a nature cruise in search of wildlife in Frenchman Bay and the Gulf of Maine! Enjoy free time in Bar Harbor prior to a guided tour of Acadia National Park. Enjoy  a photo stop at Cadillac Mountain, where the sun first hits the United States for 5 months as well as the scenery stops along the way! We will have a Maine Lobster dinner included tonight. (B,D)

 

Day 5 South Portland, ME: Enjoy breakfast included this morning before we start our way south to Rockport, ME. After an included lunch, set sail on the waters known as Maine’s prime whale feeding grounds to see whales, dolphins, seals, sharks, seabirds, and more! Also, get a tour of the Boothbay Harbor region on the way out and see lighthouses, islands, lobstermen at work, and more. You're on your own this evening after checking in to our hotel in South Portland. (B, L)

 

Day 6 Castleton, NY: After breakfast we are off to Ogunquit, ME. Our first stop will be at Finestkind Cruises. Here you will get to experience the Lobster Pulling cruise.  The cruise staff will be able to answer your questions about the coast and also give detailed explanations of lobsters and lobstering. We will check into your hotel in Castleton, NY. (B)

 

Day 7 Home: Head homeward with many memories of a delightful vacation in Maine, making appropriate stops along the way. (B)
