New England Fall Foliage

Day 1 • Albany, NY: Our 8-day adventure through picturesque New England starts with overnight near Albany.

 

Day 2 • Music and art: Tour Tanglewood Music Center, known for its festivals and summer music academy.

After included lunch, enjoy the Norman Rockwell Museum. Here, we’ll find the largest collection of original art by the famed artist as well as photographs, fan mail and more. (B, L)

 

Day 3 • Rhode Island: A local guide shows us the sights of lovely Newport, RI, known for the highest concentration of colonial homes in the nation. Our tour includes a visit to The Breakers mansion, Vanderbilt’s summer home. Tonight you will have free time in Plymouth, MA. (B, L)

 

Day 4 • Massachusetts: Travel to Boston, where  you will have free time at Quincy Market. Then a local guide shows us the town’s highlights, including, Old North Church, Boston Common and more. (B, D)

 

Day 5 • Maine: Depart this morning for Kennebunkport, ME, for a narrated trolley tour of this charming seaside town. Enjoy free time to shop here for bargains and treasures and lunch on own. Be our guest for dinner tonight, featuring Lobster! (B, D)

 

Day 6 • Vermont: We cross into New Hampshire this morning. Visit Franconia Notch State Park and enjoy a ride up Cannon Mountain via aerial tram. Learn about making maple syrup at Morse Sugar Farm House and Gift Shop prior to an evening on your own in the South Burlington area. (B, D)

 

Day 7 • Lakes Champlain and Placid: Today, we board the Lake Champlain Ferry in Charlotte, VT. The southernmost crossing of the lake - the 13th largest in the US - offers perfect vantage points for fall foliage. Enjoy free time at Whiteface Olympic Center prior to overnight at the Edgewood Resorts where dinner will be included. (B, D)

 

Day 8 • Home: We depart upstate New York. Arrive home this evening refreshed from our fall foliage getaway. (B)
