Red Canyonlands

Day 1 • Bowling Green, KY: We begin our canyonland adventure with a pleasant drive through Ohio, stopping in Bowling Green, KY, for overnight.

Day 2 • Memphis, TN: Visit the National Corvette Museum before moving on to Memphis for our overnight. You may want to enjoy Beale Street on your own tonight. (B)

Day 3 • Oklahoma City, OK: Today, we learn about Arkansas with a guided tour of the State Capitol in Little Rock. Then, visit the Fort Smith National Historic Site and see the courtroom of the Hanging Judge. We overnight near Fort Smith, AK. (B, D)

Day 4 • Amarillo, TX: We see the oil wells pumping in front of the capitol building and visit the Oklahoma City Memorial Site, touring the Memorial Center. The memorial is dedicated to the victims and survivors whose live changed forever April 19, 1995. Spend the night in Amarillo. (B)

Day 5 • New Mexico: Snap some photos at the whimsical Cadillac Ranch on our way to picturesque New Mexico. Visit the Route 66 Museum and enjoy afternoon shopping in Old Town Albuquerque prior to overnight in Gallup, NM. (B)

Day 6 • Lake Powell: In Arizona, learn about the history and culture at the Navajo Nation Museum. We enter the Red Canyonlands of Utah to view the first of many unforgettable sights. Check in to Lake Powell Resort for a two night stay on the lovely lake. (B, D)

Day 7 • Lake Cruise: Spend a delightful day on beautiful Lake Powell as we set sail on the Canyon Explorer with a boxed lunch on the water. Our cruise includes a stop at the world’s largest natural bridge, the Rainbow Bridge. Enjoy free time this evening however you choose. (B, BL)

Day 8 • Grand Canyon, AZ: Today, visit the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Take in the amazing views of the Canyon, and enjoy time for lunch and shopping on you own. Travel to Mt. Carmel Junction, Utah for overnight. (B, D)

Day 9 • Zion National Park: Visit the astounding Zion National Park today. A narrated shuttle - you can hop on and off as you choose - takes you to various points of interest. Springdale, UT is home tonight. (B)

Day 10 • Bryce Canyon National Park, UT: Bryce Canyon offers many beautiful photo opportunities, including towering spires and amazing rock formations. You will see Sunrise, Bryce and Inspiration points plus more! (B)

Day 11 • Arches National Park: Marvel at the breathtaking canyons, great colored pinnacles, and endless vistas in Arches National Park. Tonight, we’re in for a real treat with the Canyonlands By Night river raft tour. Overnight is in Moab, UT. (B, L, D)

Day 12 • Denver, CO: Today, we travel to Denver with a stop in Vail en route. Travel through the Eisenhower Tunnel en route to Denver, where we stop at the capitol building for photos before checking in to our hotel near Denver. (B)

Day 13 • Kansas: Travel through the rich farmlands of Kansas today, overnighting in Salina. (B)

Day 14 • Eisenhower & Truman: Learn more about two presidents as we tour the Eisenhower Center in Abilene, KS, and the Truman Library & Museum in Independence, MO. Overnight in Blue Springs, MO. (B)

Day 15 • Terre Haute, IN: Enjoy a scenic travel day via St. Louis as we head to Terre Haute for overnight. (B)

Day 16 • Home: A farewell lunch is included today at Schmidt’s in the German Village of Columbus, OH before we arrive home with great memories of the beautiful Red Canyonlands. (B, L)
