Day 2 • Home: This morning, visit the palatial Greenbrier Resort and take a peek into luxury and history. Located in the beautiful Allegheny Mountains near White Sulphur Springs, the hotel is a National Historic Landmark. We’ll tour the elegant hotel that’s been welcoming guests from around the world since 1778 and go underground into the secret government bunker built there during the Cold War. The facility was to serve as an emergency shelter for Congress in the event of nuclear fallout and was kept secret until the 1990s. Enjoy lunch at Sam Snead's at the resort. Depart for home in on the secret of the bunker and the natural beauty of West Virginia. (B, L)
