Start the day at the Lucy Desi Museum where we will celebrate the “first couple of comedy” and their impact on the world – the museum features exact recreations of studio sets from the sitcom “I Love Lucy”, screen-used costumes and props, Emmy awards and scripts!
Next, enjoy a lunch included at The Tropicana. Here you will go back in time and dine in the re-creation of Ricky Ricardo's famous Manhattan nightclub. This unique experience is not open to the public!
After lunch, we hop onboard for a LUCYTOWN tour. We'll see the house Lucille was born in, the house she grew up in, larger-than-life murals, Lucy statues, her final resting place and much more!
We will conclude our day at the National Comedy Center, inspired by Lucille's dream for her hometown to be a celebration of comedy! If you have never been to the Comedy Center, this is a totally new and exciting experience. Folks who have visited know just how much fun is here! You will get a "laughband" and be asked about your favorite comedians, movies and TV shows, which creates a personalized comedy experience tailored to YOUR sense of humor. Some other fun experiences here include -
· COMEDY CONTINUUM – learn about the “6 degrees of separation” between your favorite comedy stars and their greatest influences.
· LAUGH BATTLE – ai technology detects whether you smile or laugh as your friends and family try to make each other laugh
